| The Bible And the Bible Only God warns, “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them,’ thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams.”[337] Paul tells us why the masses will be deceived: “because they received not the love of the truth.”[338] Satan has in the past made it appear that we can communicate with the dead. Demons will impersonate deceased friends and relatives. Our only safeguard is scripture. “When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light.”[339] The law and the testimony is referring to the Bible. We are told to “gird up [put on armor] the loins of our mind,”[340] an the armor is truth.[341] Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and love truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the whole world captive. All In the Name of the Lord With freedom of religion and freedom from religion being so cherished in the United States, how will Satan accomplish the chilling scenes of Revelation 13—a one-world government supporting religion? God reveals Satan’s ploy in chapter 11 of the book of Daniel[342], and gives incredible detail of the future of our planet. In this prophetic book, the last days counterfeit church[343] is “pushed at” by “the king of the south,” representing atheism and defiance of God[344]. Satan is the puppet-master behind both parties. Why would he prompt one to attack the other? Because this is how he gets the world to accept complete authority by the king of the north—the king of the south pushes and pushes at the king of the north until he becomes outraged and destroys the king of the south with fury, taking complete control of the world. Crime, murder, rape, theft, unspeakable things done to children—this is all the king of the south pushing at the moral element of the self-righteous modern day Pharisees. Immorality, gay rights, abortion—these fly in the face of religion. No prayer in schools, evolution—the king of the south keeps pushing, pushing, pushing at the Christian coalitions. Any day of the week you can turn on the radio or television and hear Christian preachers decrying these sins, and calling for a political movement to take control of the government “for God.” Separation of church and state is wrong, they say. Prophecy says they will gain control. And just as the liberals and the conservatives united to destroy Jesus[345], the whole world will be united in their opposition to the people of God. Angels Everywhere! Everywhere you look, you see angels these days—on stationery, postage stamps, television shows, etc. More than this, people are communicating with angels, seeking comfort, advice and guidance. God warned us that in his final campaign, Satan and his followers would masquerade as holy angels in order to deceive the world: “Such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves... and no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”[346] “They deceive them that dwell on the earth by means of the miracles... for they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto... the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”[347] The incredible increase in “angel” activity, along with the occult, witchcraft, metaphysics, astrology, psychics, and even the supernatural events in Christian churches is all Satan’s activity to condition the world to receive him as Christ in the final confrontation between Christ and Satan. |
